Sterile Processing Practical Training in Eastern Region
Alpha Health Group Supports Sterile Processing Capacity Building at Eastern Regional Hospital
The Alpha Health Group Inc., in collaboration with the Ghana Health Service, successfully conducted the latest phase of the Sterile Processing Facility-Level Training and Certification Initiative at the Eastern Regional Hospital, Koforidua.
The training forms part of an ongoing pilot programme aimed at strengthening sterile processing systems, improving infection prevention practices, and enhancing patient safety across participating healthcare facilities in Ghana.
Participants underwent comprehensive training that combined classroom-based instruction with hands-on practical sessions. The programme focused on internationally recognized sterile processing standards, instrument identification and handling, workflow management, quality assurance, and best practices in instrument reprocessing.
The practical component of the training provided participants with the opportunity to apply their knowledge in a simulated working environment, reinforcing key concepts and strengthening technical competencies essential to safe healthcare delivery.

About the Initiative
The Sterile Processing Facility-Level Training and Certification Initiative is being implemented by Alpha Health Group Inc. in collaboration with the Ghana Health Service.
