Alpha Health Group Inc. Empowers Young Girls Through Sanitary Pad Donation And Education On Use At Jumapo Methodist Senior High School

In a bid to promote menstrual health and support female students, Alpha Health Group Inc. organized a successful program of donating sanitary pads and education on use at The Jumapo Methodist Senior High School in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

The outreach, held in July 2025, focused on menstrual hygiene education, breaking stigmas surrounding menstruation, and empowering young girls with the knowledge and resources to manage their periods with dignity. Health educators from Alpha Health Group delivered interactive sessions on proper menstrual hygiene practices, debunked common myths, and encouraged open conversations among students and teachers.

As part of the initiative, over 300 sanitary pads were donated to female students to support consistent school attendance and reduce period-related absenteeism. Many young girls, especially in underserved areas, lack access to basic menstrual products—a challenge Alpha Health Group aims to address through continued advocacy and outreach.

Speaking at the event, a representative of Alpha Health Group emphasized, “Menstrual health is a human right, not a privilege. No girl should miss school because of her period.”

The students and staff of Jumapo Methodist SHS expressed heartfelt appreciation for the initiative, highlighting the need for ongoing support in menstrual health education.

Alpha Health Group Inc. remains committed to promoting health equity, youth empowerment, and gender-inclusive healthcare across Ghana.
